Alpaca Pastures

Historic Falkland Farm: The Pastures

The alpaca pastures are seeded every year with a combination of Kentucky bluegrass, orchard grass, and two types of rye. Heated, automatically filled, electric waterers have been installed in every pasture. The five pastures without direct connectivity to the main barn have their own 18' x 32' insulated, 3-sided sheds that provides those pastures with dry storage for hay bins and a place for the alpacas to retreat.
